So here's our lovely garden, all set for a summer of barbeques and long evenings sipping Pimms on the patio.......not.

I agree not every girl can boast a circular saw station on her lawn and there is the opportunity to relive those drunken student nights liberating traffic cones, although not so much of an edge when you have them to save the space for your skip out front. So the request to "make sure you cut the lawn honey" have mainly been superfluous

So the return of loftwatch after some technical difficulties - mainly not being home to take pictures in the light and then not remembering the password to log in. So here's the comfortable lounge I've been living with whilst Mike has been having his cycling adventures - cosy huh? Yes the eagle eyed amongst you may realise this is our lounge and therefore on our groundfloor. Mike took the ceilings down as my easter treat and then promptly buggered off. The reason for this is the steel supporting beam was about 2 mm to small and nneded to be taken out and changed for an imperceptibly bigger steel. things you don't realise a loft conversion will involve....

So the day Mike leaves the country, the builders break through from the loft to the landing - although with considerably less mess than an average Mikey DIY session. Te bannisters are gone, along with the only indoor clothes drying space. The frame for the firedoor is taking shape, although I'm not sure how long it will stay after we get the building certificate.

In the loft room the bathroom is taking shape, on Friday the towel rail and sink went in. I think that my glittery floor tiles go down next - v.excited about them.
